From “The Dog Lover’s Companion to California”
We love the four gorgeous classy old-English style cottages that make up this inn. Each white cottage, set in the inn’s lush English garden, is like its own little England – a touch of the Cotswolds – from thatched roofs to the forest-green shutters to the airy and cozy interior beautiful furnishings. Fireplaces are the rule here. The three one bedroom cottages have kitchens, too, in case you feel like playing chef during your stay. The fourth cottage, which has two bedrooms, sports an efficiency kitchen. If you’re longing for quiet, the Lincoln Green is for you. It’s set in a part of town, far enough from the not-so-madding crowds in Carmel to enjoy tranquility, and in the midst of the inn’s sweet gardens. The inn is a short walk to the Carmel River State Beach. The cottages are, of course, dog friendly. (see book information)

We loved our stay in this beautiful cozy cottage!  Thank you for rejuvenating our spirits in this amazing place.  We also love the sweet kitty!  We will be back again and again.

This was my wife’s and mine 1st time at Lincoln Green.  We enjoyed our time here very much.  We especially love the many portraits of dogs in the living room.  Our puppy, “Bently”, had a great time at the beach and with other dogs of Carmel.

We greeted the New Year from the comfort of this cozy cottage and enjoyed ourselves immensely.  The rain drummed on the roof all night, but we awoke to a morning of sunshine and a great walk on the beach.  It was our second visit, and again, we had a wonderful visit in the little cottage.  Thank you.

We are locals who live in Monterey.  One of the best things about living here is that we never have to go far for a delightful “staycation”.  Lincoln Green Inn made for a lovely overnight getaway.  We will tell all of our local friends to do the same.  We also plan on putting guests up here in the future.  If you are visiting our area and are looking for a great dining experience in Carmel, try Andre’s Bouchee on Mission and 5th.  Our dinner there was delicious.  Thanks.

Yeah!  Back again in Carmel!  I just have it so and try and come up from La Jolla CA with my German short-haired Pointer, Megan and her new sidekick Ellie (pug) at least every other year.  First time staying here, and I enjoyed the peace, the stillness, except for the songbirds and the sound of the ocean.  We walked the sandy white beach and Mission trails with the creek that runs along the path.  Carmel always renews my spirit.  It is quiei a magical and enchanting place.  We will return next year!  Thanks

Lincoln Green Inn and the Friar Tuck cottage have become our new favorite getaway in Carmel.  We are a converted tribe from ex-Cypress Inn fans.   From the privacy, to have our own self-contained warm nook on this beautiful property, the few days spent here was the true “un-plug” we needed to rejuvenate and feel fresh to take on more life.  Looking forward to our next visit here.  Thank you!

Thanks for a great stay at the Lincoln Green Inn – our second time here.  Last time was over 7 years ago, as our 9 year old daughter was only a toddler.  We had a great time on the beach our first day.  River Beach is so scenic with the mountains in the background and pretty white sand.  We took a walk up the pathroad to another beach that was fun for tidepooling.  Beautiful views all around!  Yesterday we visited the amazing aquarium and the girls enjoyed the otters.  Back home to Los Altos today.  We’ll be back!  Thank you.

Thank you for a storybook fairytale stay at Friar Tuck.  It was the perfect getaway location.  We loved all the décor, paintings, art, teapots, patio, flowers, fireplace, windows and everything else in this charming village.  Wonderful

Friar Tuck has all the comforts of home which makes for a very comfortable stay.  We look forward to coming back soon.  The wine and cheese, plus the generous breakfast – especially those wonderful, flaky croissants.
