“The Dog Lover’s Companion to California”
We love the four gorgeous classy old-English style cottages that
make up this inn. Each white cottage, set in the inn’s lush
English garden, is like its own little England – a touch of
the Cotswolds – from thatched roofs to the forest-green shutters
to the airy and cozy interior beautiful furnishings. Fireplaces
are the rule here. The three one bedroom cottages have kitchens,
too, in case you feel like playing chef during your stay. The fourth
cottage, which has two bedrooms, sports an efficiency kitchen. If
you’re longing for quiet, the Lincoln Green is for you. It’s
set in a part of town, far enough from the not-so-madding crowds
in Carmel to enjoy tranquility, and in the midst of the inn’s
sweet gardens. The inn is a short walk to the Carmel River State
Beach. The cottages are, of course, dog friendly. (see
book information)

My dear husband found this piece of heaven on earth on line. We
have planned for years to come someplace special for my 60th birthday
and our 35th anniversary. THIS IS IT! We had our sons and their
families here the first couple of days and then when they left to
go back to jobs/home, then 4 of the most wonderful friends an old
gal could have showed up. We visited the sites, loved the mist and
shared happy, cooking times! I thank God for all these loving people
and this place.

We arrived 3 days ago in late afternoon fog and are leaving in sunshine
after 7 days of bliss in this darling red and yellow cottage with
the sights and sounds of unique Carmel all around us. We took advantage
of our kitchen, relaxing and making meals, not always have to go
out to eat. The "happy hour" (with Happy) was fun, and
we slept so well in the very comfortable bed with the softest linens.
Thank you for a memorable vacation in this home away from hope.
We hope to return.

We celebrated abelated 44th anniversary here, with iour beloved
kids (twin) Yorkies, Rose Alis and Aristotle. My husband discovered
Lincoln Green online. It sounded perfect, and very dog friendly!
(major importance for us). A totally lovely stay, from the beautiful
weather to this charming cottage and gardens. Look forward to many
return visits.

This is perhaps the most romantic retreat we've ever enjoyed - rivaling
the Tuscan farmhouse we enjoyed on our honeymoon. The cottage is
charming, lovely and delightful, all the more so because we were
permitted to have our canine pal, Cisco the Bichon. We've greatly
appreciated the meticulous attention to detail - it's enhanced our
stay in every way. Angela suggested we dine at Casanova's, and the
experience was splendid. We wish all who enjoy this cottage as lovely
a visit as we've had. Que Viva Angela! Que Viva Betsy! Que Viva

A splendid Birthday getaway. The cottage is lovely and has an at
home feel to it. You have done a really great job! The garden is
beautiful. You will definitely see us again! We love Happy. He reminds
of our black cat, Wallace. We recommend Le Coq d'Or, a great French/German
restaurant and Hog's Breath Inn has a really yummy fried calamari
appetizer. The massage in the room was icing on the cake.

We celebrated a wonderful Christmas here at the Maid Marian cottage
in beautiful Carmel. We appreciate having the pretty Christmas decorations
up when we arrived on the 23rd. We wanted a cottage withi a kitchen
so we could make a Christmas dinner on the 25th, and Maid Marian
worked out well! It's a peaceful, scenic environment, and it made
for a memorable Christmas '09. Thanks

Dear Angela, Tom, Betsy, Happy and Oakley
Thank you for a lovely weekat the Lincoln Green! We escaped the
"dead" snow in Northern Nevada for the green beauty of
Monterey County. The weather was perfect, and we looked forward
each morning to your delightful breakfast (thanks, Tom), looking
out on the garden from Maid Marian. Our daily adventures included
picnics at Point Lobos (grey whales!), 17-mile Drive (harbor seals),
Pacific Groves (loons and pelicans), Pinos Point at Asilomar (seagulls
and Austrian visitors) and, of course, the beach down the s treet.
We enjoyed dinner at Il Fornaio, Dametra Cafe (great food and singing
and Steve Jobs) and Phil's Fish Market at Moss Landing (brought
back take-out dinner, too)with plenty of sea lions and sea otters.
"Happy Hour" with Happy was most welcome each evening.
We'll be back!

given a whole new feeling to the cottage. We will certainly be back
and we wish you much success on your new venture. Sincerely

Upon
our arrival to the Robin Hood we were transported through time and
space on a magical journey of warmth and amicability. The transplendance
of the environ-romance unfolded in ways of constant surprise and
exuberocity for all who entered its warm embrace. The impressive
floralia exploded in a celebratory waltz of color. The memory of
our time with Angela, Gary and Happy the cat, has forever been frozen
in our memory like a holiday snow globe from years gone by.

This is only our second visit to the "Lincoln Green Inn",
and we wonder why we haven't come back more often. This cottage
is so quaint especially and the beautiful yard and gardener. This
iplace is also great, since it's so close to everything. We're able
to walk our dogs to the beach and we're close to shops and restaurants.
Our dogs Zoe and Judy are really enjoying themselves.
