“The Dog Lover’s Companion to California”
We love the four gorgeous classy old-English style cottages that
make up this inn. Each white cottage, set in the inn’s lush
English garden, is like its own little England – a touch of
the Cotswolds – from thatched roofs to the forest-green shutters
to the airy and cozy interior beautiful furnishings. Fireplaces
are the rule here. The three one bedroom cottages have kitchens,
too, in case you feel like playing chef during your stay. The fourth
cottage, which has two bedrooms, sports an efficiency kitchen. If
you’re longing for quiet, the Lincoln Green is for you. It’s
set in a part of town, far enough from the not-so-madding crowds
in Carmel to enjoy tranquility, and in the midst of the inn’s
sweet gardens. The inn is a short walk to the Carmel River State
Beach. The cottages are, of course, dog friendly. (see
book information)

What an absolutely wonderful getaway for the celebration of our
20th Anniversary which was actually on December, 2009. The Lincoln
Green Inn was wonderful. Loved the quietness, and its decor and
comfort. It's been a beautiful trip and we hope to bring our seven
kids back with us later this year. Thank you Tom and Betsy for a
wonderful stay!

Thank you for a lovely week at the Lincoln Green! We escaped the
"dead snow" in Northern Nevada for the green beauty of
Monterey County. The weather was perfect and we looked forward each
morning to your delightful breakfast (thanks Tom), looking out on
the garden from Maid Marian. Our daily adventures included picnics
at Point Lobos (grey whales!), Pinos Point at Asilomar (sea gulls
and Austrian visitors) and, of course, the beach down the street.
We enjoyed dinner at Il Fornaio, Dametra Cafe, (great food and singing)
and Phil's Fish Market at Moss Landing (brought back takeout dinner,
too) with plenty of sea lions and otters. "Happy Hour"
with Happy was most welcome each evening. We'll be back!

What a perfect place for a quiet getaway! The cottage is so charming
and comfortable. We hated to leave! The location is ideal - a quick
walk to the beach and not too far from downtown, but so quiet. We
lucked out with perfect weather rigiht up to the last day. We will
definitely be back! Your hospitality was much appreciated

Robin Hood has been a delightful place to spend Memorial weekend.
After 5 mnths, we had a wonderful two days catching up with our
son and daughter-in-law. Your gardens are very special - all the
flowers we love in England seem to grow in greater profusion here
- it must be the wonderful sunshine. We shall return to England
with the happiest memories of our days with you. The breakfasts
were delicious - especially on the sunny terrace.
